History of AKPsi

B4.jpeg

Alpha Kappa Psi was founded on October 5th, 1904, by four students who were attending New York University: Frederic R. Leach, Howard M. Jefferson, Nathan Lane Jr., and George L. Bergen. The four men attended night school at NYU and would walk home together after class across the Brooklyn Bridge. On their walks they discussed their wish for an organization on campus that focused on brotherhood and the business ideals of the 20th century, a wish they put to action. The organization they created was the ΑΚΨ we know and love today.

The Zeta Xi Chapter of CMU

Our fraternity, the Zeta Xi chapter of Central Michigan University, prides itself on professional growth  through membership and an experience that lasts a lifetime.  Our chapter, located on University Street in Mount Pleasant, has been around for quite sometime. We are currently the only Business Fraternity on campus with our own house.  We cater to all majors, not just business.  It is our belief that all professionals require the essential skills that we have to offer and teach our members.  Essential skills such as resume building, elevator pitches, professional dress and many more skills are taught within our membership.
